Make-A-Wish Tuna Challenge

AUGUST 23-25, 2019

This event is the largest tuna fishing tournament in the continental U.S., and participants will include hundreds of fishing enthusiasts from all over the country. How do we do this incredible job? We do it with the love and support of people in the community. The Tuna Challenge is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who work year-round to make it the great success that it is and with your support, we can do even more!

This year’s tournament will begin with a Captain’s Meeting on Friday, August 23rd, fishing to take place on Saturday, August 24th, and the Tournament Awards Banquet complete with raffle and silent auction on Sunday, August 25th at Portuguese Hall. All proceeds from the Tuna Challenge go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, which serves children in San Diego and Imperial Counties.
